New York 18-21 October 2010

Our forthcoming workshop in New York will concentrate on one-to-one marketing - How to build multi-channel campaigns to communicate directly with your customers as unique individuals with the objective of building loyalty and increasing sales. All aspects of social media will be addressed, including Facebook, Twitter, flickr and YouTube with case studies to illustrate the mechanics of successful campaigns. There will also be a programme of visits to a selection of Long Island wineries.

Workshop Presentations and Conclusions

This workshop focussed on brand building and customer relationship management. Guest speakers included Honcho PR, honchopr.com, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, smws.com and Tom Cannavan, wine-pages.com.  The IWCA General Assembly will take place on 28 April. The agenda for this will be circulated to all members separately.

Reims, Champagne Workshop 3-6 November 2009

Workshop Presentations and Conclusions 

Our workshop in Reims focussed on 'The Implementation and Optimisation of Multi-Media Marketing Strategies'. A select group of international experts presented on the latest key developments in digital media, including social media and direct marketing communication channels. They included Marc Engel, Partner and Director of Wine Practice, B/R/S Group, Paul Mabray, Chief Strategy Officer, VinTank and James Jennings, Partner at Maxus Global. President of Aquarelle.com, Henri de Maublanc talked about the company’s shift from bricks and mortar to internet operations. In addition, IWCA members presented their latest marketing activities, recruitment and loyalty schemes.

The Workshop focussed on digital media, raising the efficiency of your website, online marketing and advertising and the optimisation of e-mail communications. Speakers included specialists and experts from the internet sector as well as member companies who presented specific case studies relevant to the theme.
