Direct Wines Ltd is the world's largest independent wine merchant with annualised sales in excess of £300 million. It also has operations in the USA, Switzerland and Australia.

Direct Wines is a specialist wine merchant, offering its customers a range of over 2000 different wines.
Over 700,000 customers currently buy at least once every 6 months.
Over 92% of cases ordered are repeat orders i.e. customers returning to purchase wines after an initial offer.
Direct Wines was awarded Winner of the Consumer Category for Food & Drink 2007 at the ECMOD Awards.
Direct Wines receives 2.5 million telephone calls per annum. The Communications Centres in Reading and Plymouth can handle over 21,500 calls in a day between them, at over 300 telephone workstations. The annual average order-to-home delivery time is 3.5 working days - all orders are computer tracked.
Direct Wines delivered over 56 million bottles of wine throughout the UK 2007.
Direct Wines, through its Fine Wine Service, is the largest private fine wine supplier in the UK (*still wines over £12 per bottle).
During the peak month of trading last year (Dec 2007) the Distribution Centres packed and despatched 54,000 cases in one day. Direct Wines has a new state of the art despatch centre in Gloucester, ready to cope with ever-increasing demand.
Over 96% of the Waste produced by the Distribution Centres is recycled. This has improved from 45% just 12 months ago.
DW actively sources recycled packaging where available, currently about 90% of our packaging is made from recycled materials.
