Founded in 1964 by Peter Margaritoff in Hamburg, the Hanseatisches Wein und Sekt-Kontor (HAWESKO) has been a symbol for quality and continuity in the German wine market for more than 40 years now.
Core Activity:
As Germany’s leading wine mail order company, we supply enthusiasts and connoisseurs with excellent fine wines, as well as with top-class presents, for private enjoyment and business occasions from all leading wine growing regions of the world. We provide highly professional costumer service and delivery for all our products.
The company’s activities are divided as follows in terms of customer orders: 40 % by telephone; 30 % by post and fax, and over 15 % via Internet; the rest is mainly through wine clubs and cooperations.
The Hanseatisches Wein und Sekt-Kontor is a subsidiary of Hawesko Holding AG, which also encompasses: Carl Tesdorpf – Weinhandel zu Lübeck (wine mail order), Jacques’ Wein-Depot (wine shops), Wein Wolf and CWD Champagner- und Wein-Distributionsgesellschaft (wholesalers).
