Welcome to The Opimian Society
Founded in 1973, The Opimian Society is Canada's largest wine club with 18,000 members across the country. As a non-profit wine purchasing co-operative we offer members more than 500 wines from around the world through mail order catalogues. All wines are exclusive to members and cannot be found on the provincial liquor board shelves.
Core Activity:
Opimian mails eight wine catalogues each year offering more than 500 wines from around the world. Seventy per cent of orders come through our web site. We focus on wine education through detailed wine descriptions; a wine and food magazine which all members receive which includes an inserted Opimian newsletter. More than 150 wine events are held each year across the country by our group of 26 area
representatives. Opimian also offers wine tours; from weekend getaways to longer journeys to the wine producing regions of the world.
